One of the loveliest easy walks in the Lakes — 2.5 miles each way along the River Brathay, past Skelwith Force and through beech woods to Chesters by the River at Skelwith Bridge. Wide paths, no stiles, buggy-friendly for most of the way. Return the same way or catch the 516 bus back to Elterwater.
